The new girl...to good to be true???

We met a few months ago. We live in different cities so we started with email and texts....she most definitely caught my attention. After a couple of weeks of that, we decided to meet up in person.

It was the BEST first date ever. Better than I could ever have imagined it would be. We met up in a bookshop and then headed over to the local farmers market to pick up some food. I brought beer and a blanket and we headed to the park for a picnic. The day was filled with great converstaion and moments where we would touch accidentally (maybe not so much on accident) and we would both just freeze for an instant. There was electricity between us...

By the end of the day, we ended up on a blanket in the soft grass by the river. I made it remarkably hard for her to make the first move, which I found highly entertaining.....but she eventually couldn't take it anymore, and grabbed me and kissed me. We stayed there on the blanket until the rain forced us to leave...

It was dark by then and were were the only people left in the park except for a few people fishing in the night. As we approached the parking lot we noticed there weren't any cars left except mine. It was still raining so we hopped in the car as quickly as we could. Once I got situated I noticed a note on my windsheild. I scanned the top part...."the park closes at 8pm blah blah blah..." We pull out and head up the road to the entrance...fuck....they have fucking chained and locked the gates shut...we are locked in the park...

I pulled the wet peice of paper back out and read it in greater detail....we had to call the local police to come let us out. The cop showed up with a chip on his shoulder:

"What were you ladies doing in the park so late?"
Me: "Ummmm just enjoying the park sir."
Police officer: "umm hmm I bet you were"
Me: *blush*.

He ran our ID's and came back a little softer than he first approached us. I think I have mentioned before that I live in a "not so great" area of town. Now I was in a park in a city an hour away and this guy is like "you live in CH? Are you crazy?" apparently so....

He let us out, I dropped her off at her car and we both went back to our respective cities. I have spent 5/6 weekends with her since then. It has been amazing. Not only do we have a ton in common but we have this spark that I just can't even begin to describe...

She definitely looks good on paper. She is a professor, enjoys the outdoors, is passionate about volunteering, playing softball (check), and singing (in an actual choir, that doesn't let just anyone in). She has a supportive family that she adores. AND she is bilingual and can understand Farsi. DidImentionsheisamazinginbed?

I am trying to just sit back and enjoy it. And for the most part I have been. There is some small part of me though that can't help but think maybe this is too good to be true...

  2. Ha ha, being locked in the park, that is just too funny! So do many of your dates end with Police encounters? LOL.

Just keep ignoring that little question and carry on sitting back and enjoying it.
