More hand pictures and school

My mom's birthday was last sat. and we celebrated at my grandmother's new apartment. It was stressful as my grandmother seemed to have things under control but it was just too much for her to coordinate. I got there an hour before everyone else was supposed to arrive and still had quite a bit of preparation to do. I was still in the midst of preparing food when my mother walked in. I said 'happy birthday' to her and her first utterance as she walked in the door was a dripping with attitude "well thanks...". I asked what was wrong with the way I said happy birthday. Her response "Well it has been my birthday all day now". Meaning that I should have told her happy birthday earlier in the day.

This is my life. I can't shit right for that woman.

Anyhow, I still had a nice time. We ate good food and took a couple of pictures. Below is another hand picture. This time of my mom and her mother (the last one was my dad's mother). I wonder if my grandmother's hands used to look like my mom's...

Remember this:

Now its this. It is still not working properly though. I am supposed to have it tested in a diseased population and written up by june/july so I can graduate in august. Doesn't feel like that is going to happen right now. Not sure what will happen if I don't graduate by august...

  1. Oh Mothers! What are you gonna do? Love em, hate em, it doesn't matter. She pushed you out into the world and now you two are stuck with each other no matter what.
Mothers and daughters are good for each other even when they don't get along or even like each other.
    Good luck with it though.

  5. So everyone's mother is crazy?

Girl fires - maybe one day I will see that she is good for me. Right now I want to move as far away from her as I can get.

Haizey - If I moved to the UK I would be a long way from my mother. It is looking better and better...

Lilli - I'm saving the house keeping robot for my next phD.

Eteranlly D. - I like the way you think. I will be calling her a minute after midnight next year. Her anniversary is in february. Maybe I should try it then too.
