The christmas party that never was...

Well the fist social gathering where I was supposed to be all out never happened. Sort of.

We got 8-10inches of snow which prevented anyone further away than 'walking distance' from coming to our Christmas party. We had a total of probably 8 people there at one time and were expecting over 30.....

We had alot of ham to eat.

I was both releived and frustrated that the party got snowed out. I was extremely nervous about so many people coming that I was seeing for the first time since coming out AND my girlfriend was gonna be there. I was releived to postpone the awkwardness of it all, but at the same time I was frustrataed not to get it over with.

We dressed up and partied anyways.

Roomie, friend/co- host, me, GF

This party was the weekend before christmas. This past weekend I had two friends over with their significant others. They would have been at the christmas party had it not been for the snow. This was the first time I would hang with them since coming out and with the GF. I survived. I think everyone had a good time. We ate, we drank, we played games. It was a little awkward, but it was a step in the right direction. right?

  6. I see awesomeness here. Yep, you got it.

And boo to all the non-drivers! The snow didnt stop me! Oh yeah, it did. Right when it broke my hand. Still, parties are way better than staying home. :)

  7. Thanks guys!

    Camlin - Congrats to you!

aneke - it is fabulous not having to hide her. I am still settling into this though. She will touch me or call me baby in front of people and I start to freak out and then I remember I don't have to....

lilli - i hope the hand is healing well!

  9. You all look fabulous! And you should never have to hide that cute GF of yours. Be proud of the fact that she acknowledges you with love. In time it will all be second nature to you.
