My cuuuuzin's 30th birthday party!

My cousins 30th birthday party was a huge success. The theme was for everyone to come to the skating rink dressed as the 'Ashley' they know best or as something that represents her in their mind. Her friends and family came up with some great costumes and she had no idea what the theme was until she walked into the roller skating rink!

I decided to go as a cup of coffee. The girl always has a cup of coffee in her hand and cannot function with out it. Also, we have shared many fond memories over a cup of coffee. She is the oldest of the cousins and as soon as she could drive we were making our first trips to the coffee shop to get away from the adults and have our own time. When we first started drinking coffee (because it was THE thing to do) the taste was so offensive to us that we would drink the coffee and then chase it with a shot of pure half and half. I am sure the baristas thought we were crazy...

The finished product:

A picture of 'doat'. When you live in the country, sometime dogs and goats intermingle. This may result in some confusion for said animals. Dogs humping goats could possibly lead to the creation of 'doats'. When said event occurs the first time your serious boyfriend (not from the country) meets the extented family it can lead to quite an embarassing encounter as everyone is mimicing what a 'doat might sound like. A fond memory of the first time my cousin's now husband met the family. Another costume.

My other cousin dressed up as a dirty scrabble board. Read the fine print. It is hilarious.

This is supposed to say "Happy Birthday Ashley BM" and look something like a scrabble board. She is the one the decided to hyphenate her last name.

My skates. Inlines cost more money. These were free. I think I need to practice some more before I follow my dream of becoming a roller girl.

Skates! Aren't they pretty? I like when things are lined up!

The good stuff.

The rink..bring back memories?

The cake with a picture of my cousin from her ballerina days.

Foodies

My cousins, as herself, and her husband, as MJ.

My cousin and I in my costume.

We were supposed to have a bon fire after the skating party but it was pouring rain. So, obviously, the next best option was to sit under the carport drinking beer and playing apples to apples...

The end.
