Coolest thing ever....at least in my world it is...

Started the weekend with a movie. I went to buy the ticket and this young kid rang me up. Unsure if they took student ID's because it is a new theater, I asked him if they had a discount for students as I showed him my ID. His response "I only ask for a student ID if it is obvious". Next time kid.....I suggest you come up with a different response! Thanks for reminding me I'm old....

On a happier note......Got to ride my pony alot this weekend. The weather was awesome. I got sunburned....even with SPF 12,820... Went cross country schooling on sat. We are getting ready for competition season. It looks like we are going to do well! He was brave boy! Tackled the water complex like it a champ.

The coolest thing ever though was riding my horse through the city! On sunday we did a trail ride hosted by the Mounted Police Squad. We got to ride through some residential areas of the city as well as down the premier shopping district.
Me and my horse Belmont turning onto Belmont Ave.
Crossing the overpass to go downtown!

Walking through richmond's premier shopping district. We were a bit of a spectacle. And for those of you who were wondering, our group was immediately followed by a street cleaner. There were over 75 horses participating! It was a neat way to see the city. We covered about 10 miles in 3+ hours. My ass is sore!

Had dinner with my ex-gf and her new gf sunday evening. It was weird. We are just friends now, but it is still weird. Her new gf bought my dinner and beer....made me a little uncomfortable, but I am going to take it as her extending the olive branch. Most days I am convinced that I am over that girl, and others I am not so sure. We have such a great time together and even have great chemistry, but for some reason we couldn't make it work. I'd like to keep her in my life and she has expressed the same sentiments, so I am trying hard to embrace her new relationship. It would probably be easier if I wasn't single and a little bitter about it....

  1. Looks like good times on the ride there! FUN! We have a friend that works with horses. He works out at some private ranch thingy and gets to ride the horses while they are being borded or something like that. Strange times meeting up with ex's, but it is totally do-able! Just takes some time!

  3. Thanks jude! He is a handsome man!

Jess: It totally didn't help that her new gf is REALLY short (4'11") with really short legs and she owns two short legged dogs. I met all of them at once....It took everything I had not to burst out laughing..
