On a lighter note

Had a pretty good weekend. Took Belmont to his second dressage show. We got second and third, which I was pretty happy with, considering how busy I have been lately. My best friend reminded me though that 2nd place means you are a loser...thanks...He is still young though and if we make it through a show without killing ourselves or someone else, it is still a success. I mean a year ago he was actually trying to kill me...

Belmont at the show on saturday!

I also hosted my friends 30th birthday celebration. This consisted of three phases: party at my place, going out for a little dancing, and brunch with a side of drag queens the next day. We all got sufficiently drunk and had a blast. I ,however, ended up with some battle scars...see below,

Reasons not to wear flip-flops to a crowded bar in february...

1. Sometimes, when people spill drinks in a bar (which happens alot when people are drunk and dancing), the floor becomes like fly paper for flip-flops. This can lead to your flop getting left behind and your bare foot touching the floor directly....ewww

2. It is too cold for flip-flops in february! Choose your footwear before you start drinking...while your decision making skills are not yet impaired!

3. Flip-flops do not provide protection for your toesies. My toes were trampled multiple times. I ended up with battle wounds. I only have the right half of my toe-nail remaining on my "ring toe" (not sure what you call that thing). Split right down the middle...there was a pool of blood in my flip flops! I have "tread marks" on the other foot.

I don't think I'm going back to that place, and if I do, I will definitely not wear flip flops!

A little peak into the drag show/brunch. She has some pretty nice man boobies. She said that mine could look like that when they grow up...hehe....I hope he's right!

Anyhow, the weekend was a sucess. My friend said she had a very fun and memorable 30th birthday...She's still alive, but I am still scared of 30...
