The big commit

I attended this event, "The Big Commit",in DC a few weeks ago. I had never been to an event like this, and wasn't sure what to expect. It was amazing.

It was a peaceful rally in support of Marriage Equality. There were some fantastic speakers who told us about their personal experiences and why they were there in support of marriage equality. One of the speakers was the elementary school boy who refused to say the pledge of allegiance because LBGTI are not recognized by the nation as equal. His parents are NOT gay.

His speech gave me chills and brought tears to my eyes. I'm not sure who wrote his speech, but regardless, his delivery and his willingness to be there were moving.

If you have time, read about the rally here .

Watch Will's speech here. It is totally worth your time.
