This weekend marks the fifth annual girls river weekend. Me and four other girls that I have known since we were tots get together once a year, every year, to catch up and relax. It takes place at a beautiful river house in Virginia's gorgeous river country. We drink (think beer bongs, shot glasses, and a misused wine pouring contraptions), we eat (crabs that we catch, cook, and clean), we swim, we kayak, we fish, we talk, laugh, cry.....we always have a great time, and there are always great stories to tell and reminisce about until the next year....
BUT that means I won't see the GF this weekend (we generally only see each other on the weekendsas we live 2 hrs apart) and I will be out of town for a conference the next weekend. And then she will be out of town the weekend after that. So that basically means I might not get to see her for a month...AND she has not found a new job yet, so there is still the potential that she may have to move. AND.....I love her.....
Do I go to the river or do I go see the GF?.....I HATE MAKING DECISIONS!!!!!

River. It sucks not being able to see the girl...HOWEVER, you will see each other soon AND the river isn't something that will roll back around in a month.
ReplyDeleteI agree, meet your friends this weekend, but take your GF with you on your conference weekend, she can distract you during any downtime you have :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for the input. I am really bad at making decisions! I have decided to split the weekend. The river house isn't that far away so I am going to go friday and stay through sat afternoon. GF is going to meet me at my place after that.
