Show and tell

Things have been CRAZY busy around here! Sounds like most people are that way right now though.

I am here at work for one last half day before the holiday. Should probably be getting some work done, but I needed to get some pictures up so people, maybe one in particular, could leave me alone ;).

On a side note, I dropped they stuff by our sponsored family. The mother just cried the whole time because she was so happy her daughter was going to have a christmas. After spending a little time with her, I am going back on saturday with more stuff, mostly food. She has no car and is recuperating from being hospitalized so she has a hard time getting around right now. I feel sooo fortunate that me and my family have the means to help them a little....

GF and I will be spending the holidays in different places so we already exchanged gifts.

This is the hemp leash i made for her. It took me forever as I was using such a small diameter of hemp twine since her dog is 4.5lbs!

I also bought a necklace she had seen at one of the fair trade stores. The pic is blurry, but it is an image of the world with a peace sign overlaid on top of it. The peace sign is made up of hands. On the back it says 'imagine peace'. For each piece of jewelry sold they plant a tree and the tag it came with can be planted as it is impregnated with flower seeds.
She loves it and hasnt taken it off since I gave it to her.

I also got her truffled salt. If you haven't had popcorn with truffle flavoring, go try it now! And I got her some lotion and body wash of her favorite scent at Bath and body works, eucalyptus spearment.

She got me a new bike!

This is what I got for my mother. A friend did a portrait of my mom's horse. I think she did a pretty kick ass job!

The doggies positioned themselves like this. I could never get them to do that on command. We were in the kitchen. I think they wanted something...

Merry Christmas everyone!

  2. Brilliant, albeit with a little cheeky reference given the amount of reminders I have received over a certain post that I still need to write :)

Love the pictures, cool presents, love the thought that went into them, and the doggies, awwwww, what more can I say!

  8. Ang - Thanks! Unfortunatley those pups KNOW they are cute too.

Haizey - It was indeed directed towards you and yes, it was bit cheeky. Isn't there a post you should be working on?

Lesbo - do I remember you having a tattoo that resembles that necklace a bit?

Dragon - Thanks! I hope you had a merry christmas as it has now passed!

Aneke - they are pretty cool dogs. Except when the little one barks and my ear drums explode or the big one eats my favorite underwear...

Lilli - Thanks! I can't wait to hear what everyone else got for christmas! I hope yours was great!
